Event Details
What is resilience and how might it be supported and strengthened? Are there different types of resilience? Are there essential foundations for resilience to exist or thrive? Is resilience something that can solely reside within an individual, or does it depend upon our connection to wider systems (social, cultural, economic, natural, other)? What do you find helps you to feel more resilient?
In this recurring series, we will think and talk together about how we are experiencing climate events, biodiversity loss and other ecological changes that can create disruptions and hazards to our individual and collective health and safety. Each Leicester Community Resilience Conversations event will feature a suggested topic for us to focus upon.
Through these conversations, we hope to foster community resilience and promote personal well being. We will do this by supporting and honoring the parts of ourselves that make us human, and by observing and making connections between our inner lives, the subjective experience of others, the community at large and the environment on which we live and depend. These conversations will be structured so as to be respectful and supportive.
Light snacks will be provided. All are welcome and registration is NOT required.
