Week Calendar

Quilters of all ages welcome! Bring your own sewing machine and project or work on a community project. Snacks not provided, but we encourage you to bring a bag lunch. Drop in any time to participate.

Every Wednesday morning, we open up the children's programming room to give kids and families time for free play with our stash of puppets. Children must be under the supervision of a parent or guardian.

Play with other babies and meet other caregivers! Babies 4 months-18 months and their caregivers are welcome to come play in our Community Room. There will be mats and things to roll on, bounce on, and climb.

Join us as we share books, songs, rhymes, and activities designed for children ages 3 to 5 years.

Join us for a fun and interactive story time designed for children ages 18 months to 3 years!

Enjoy books, songs, and movement activities with Sadie from 10:30-11am. Appropriate for 18 months to 3 years old. Kids and caregivers can stay to play and socialize afterward until 11:30am!

Drop in and play with other babies. Crawl through tunnels, play in ball pits, and enjoy other sensory toys. Caregivers must stay in the room. Ages 4-18 months. 

Our VOICE & Helpmate social workers will be at the Enka Candler Library once a month for information and assistance regarding sexual violence, intimate partner domestic violence, and human trafficking. 

Join trained dialogue facilitator Sue Rose for a welcoming and inclusive space to share and reflect on the impact of recent events in WNC. Whether you’d like to share your thoughts or simply listen, all are welcome.

Come down the Pack Memorial Library and play with LEGOs!
Show off your building skills and make new friends with other LEGO maniacs.

Please leave your personal LEGOs at home, because we've got plenty.

Draw fun designs on special rainbow scratch art paper and bookmarks! In the community room. All ages.

These classes are financially supported by the Friends of Fairview Library. While the library community room is being occupied by a post-Helene debris removal service, the meditation classes will be held off-site.

Bring your needles or your hooks and join us for some friendly company as you work on your current project.  No registration necessary; just come by the Skyland Library community room with a love of yarn!

Join us for this collaborative event with WNC Repair Cafe where skilled volunteers provide FREE hands-on instruction in the art of repair including stitching, mending, buttons, zippers, and more.

Fiber artists rejoice! Our monthly fiber arts gathering is back on track. Join others who share your interest and enthusiasm the second Wednesday evening of each month at the Fairview Library.

Free Qigong classes with Allen Horowitz are back at Fairview Library every Thursday in March, 6-7pm. This class is open to all ages and fitness levels. No registration needed. Just show up!
