Join us for a fun and interactive story time designed for children ages 18 months to 3 years. 

Story time room capacity is 40 people. Please arrive early to secure a spot. 

The Pack Library Book Club is a book discussion group that meets the second Wednesday of each month at 10:30AM  at the library. We read a variety of genres. The book for July 2025 is Telex From Cuba by Rachel Kushner.

Explore endless creative possibilities using paint with hands-on stations led by artist JD de Wit. Featured activities include watercolor resist painting, fabric bandana painting, and tempera painting. 

Drop in and play with other babies. Crawl through tunnels, play in ball pits, and enjoy other sensory toys. Caregivers must stay in the room. Ages 4-18 months. 

Are you a gardener without a plot? Or maybe you want to meet up with like-minded folks and see what grows? If so, this is the club for you. Pack Memorial library has a gardening plot in the Elder and Sage gardens that needs ongoing care.

Explore the technique of printmaking with artist JD de Wit. Create your own stamps and print your own fabric paint bandana. 

Discover how colors and creativity come to life through the magic of storytelling with Carolina Quiroga. 

In July 1916 WNC communities suffered through one of the worst floods in our region’s recorded history. One way residents processed and remembered the disaster was through music.

Come play Magic the Gathering at Pack Library. 

Magic the Gathering is a collectible card game with hundreds of millions of players all over the world.

All players aged 9-14 are welcome. No experience necessary.

Calling all adventurous tweens! Join us for Dungeons & Dragons at Pack Memorial Library!

All players aged 10-12 are eligible.

This program is free, but you do need to register.

We need to protect the night sky if we are to conserve biodiversity in our natural world. This presentation, by Joey Bishop, will focus on the negative effects of light pollution on amphibians, birds, mammals and insects.

Our friendly and welcoming Spanish conversation practice group is geared towards people with Intermediate level Spanish skills who are looking for a supportive chance to practice and sharpen their skills.

In 2016, filmmaker David Weintraub premiered Come Hell or High Water to commemorate the centennial of the Great Flood of 1916.

Years later, the WNC community finds itself in a similar position to those affected by the 1916 disaster.
