October is American Archives Month!

Join BCSC for tiny talks to help you take the next (or first!) step preserving your personal, family, community, or organization’s archives.

We’ll start each session with a 15-minute overview of the basics of caring for a particular type of material.

Then, archivists will be on hand to talk about your project and answer questions. You’ll leave with resources and actionable steps that will help the materials in your care become more accessible for future generations—one bite at a time.

  • Tuesday, October 8: Books and paper
  • Tuesday, October 15: Photographs
  • Tuesday, October 22: Digital & audiovisual media
  • Tuesday, October 29: Artifacts

Drop in for just one session or come to all four! Light snacks will be provided.

American Archives Month is a collaborative effort by professional organizations and repositories around the nation to highlight the importance of records of enduring value, and to enhance public recognition for the people and programs that are responsible for maintaining our communities’ vital historical records.
