Book Club: James by Percival Everett

The Fairview Library Book Club is a book discussion group that meets in person on the second Friday of each month at 11AM at the library and online on the third Thursday of each month at 6PM. We read a variety of genres.

The February book is James by Percival Everett. A bold reimagining of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, told from the perspective of Jim, the enslaved man. Everett weaves satire, humor, and razor-sharp critique into a deeply human, inventive novel about race, language, and American mythology.
