Book Club: They Called Us Enemy by George Takei

The Fairview Library Book Club is a book discussion group that meets in person on the second Friday of each month at 11AM at the library and online via Zoom on the third Wednesday of each month at 7PM. We read a variety of genres.

The March book is They Called Us Enemy by George Takei. In this graphic memoir, actor and activist George Takei recounts his childhood in a Japanese American internment camp during WWII. A visually compelling, deeply moving story of resilience, patriotism, and civil liberties in times of fear.
