We can all be kings and queens in the Kingdom of the Happy Land!

Please join us at the East Asheville Library to make your crown.

Our annual community read program, "One Book, One Buncombe" is reading Happy Land, by Dolen Perkins-Valdez.  The Kingdom of the Happy Land in this novel was a real place; a community built by formerly enslaved people right here in Western North Carolina.  There are many book club discussions, and other events related to Happy Land throughout the County, this spring.  The author will be joining us at the Ferguson Auditorium at AB-Tech on Saturday, May 16th at 2:00pm.

This event is for people of all ages to make flower crowns, together!  All materials will be provided, and no registration is required.

Children 10-years old and younger must be accompanied by an adult who is also participating in the program.
