In collaboration with the YMCA the Enka-Candler will be hosting a Gentle Yoga and Guided Meditation Series this fall.
All are welcome, from novices to advanced practitioners.
Needed equipment: Supporting props, such as mats, blocks, blankets and straps will be provided. You are welcome to bring your own.
Content: Slow Flow Vinyasa Yoga is a slower paced yoga, where you will learn to combine breathing with flowing postures and a restorative meditative mental state. This gentle, but deep approach to Vinyasa yoga, where the postures (Asana) are generally held for longer times, allows time to explore the mind-body-spirit connection while cultivating strength, flexibility, balance, and calm. The class culminates in a 5 - 10 minute guided meditation during the final relaxation posture.
