What does it mean to be supported — emotionally, spiritually, and practically — at the end of life? Join us to explore how hospice care, death doulas, and community support are reshaping the way we approach dying. The session will include a screening of the acclaimed documentary The Last Ecstatic Days, followed by a moderated conversation with local advocates Aditi Sethi and Trish Rux.
Dr. Aditi Sethi is a hospice and palliative care physician, end-of-life doula, and musician. Featured in the film The Last Ecstatic Days, Aditi is an important voice for shifting our culture’s understanding and approach to dying, death, and bereavement care. Trish Rux has been a Registered Nurse since 1982. She is a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner specializing in end-of-life care in Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina.
