The inspiration for our project this month is a “Peace Catcher” by artist Lucie Duclos (@lucieduclos). It has also been called a Wind Catcher or Dream Catcher. Your paper selection, stitching and bead choices will make your “catcher” unique.
The base of the “catcher” will be collaged with colored tissue and other thin papers onto heavy watercolor paper using a matte medium. Once dry you will choose how to cut, stitch and embellish your design. Attach a string and hang it in a window or anywhere it will catch a breeze.
This class is free, and all materials will be provided. Come prepared to be a bit messy, make new friends, and spend some relaxing time creating with others. Class size is limited to 10 participants. Registration is required.
