Paper Play: Texture Rubbings & Whimsical Birds

Instructor: Suzanne Becker

In this two-hour class we will begin by making crayon rubbings of items with interesting textures including leaves and various found objects creating a wax resist on paper. These will be enhanced with paints. The result will be a collection of decorative papers with a personal touch.

Cardboard bird shapes will be collaged with pieces of our decorated papers to create “quirky” birds. You can look forward to the beginnings of your own quirky flock!

This class is free, and all materials will be provided. Come prepared to be a bit messy, make new friends, and spend some relaxing time creating with others. Bring a smock or apron. Class size is limited to 8 participants. Registration required.
