Program Description

Event Details

Set aside some special adult time to explore your creative side in an informal gathering at Fairview Public Library. No experience required.

World Collage Day is an annual celebration of the art form, collage. It began in 2018 and takes place on the second Saturday of May.

Collage is an art form where different materials, often cut or torn papers, are arranged to create a new composition. We will approach collage in several ways to make this class fun and relaxed. The results will be a collection of small collages to use as greeting cards, postcards, Artist Trading Cards (ATC), and frameable art.

This class is free, and all materials will be provided. You are welcome to bring some of your own papers to add to your collages. Possibilities include magazine cut outs, words and phrases, interesting papers, and photos.

Come prepared to be a bit messy, make new friends, and spend some time creating with others. Class size is limited to 12 participants. Registration is required.
