Event Details
Instead of our regularly scheduled Story Time program, our Saturday Story Time will be a partnered program with Rural Housing Authority's Child First initiative. A counselor specializing in social emotional development in youth under 5 will be co-presenting with our children's librarian. The theme for this program is about Building and Rebuilding. There will be a therapeutic art craft during the second-half of the event.
Book recommendations and information about other resources in the area will be made freely available.
We understand that with an anniversary of a natural disaster, the day-of might be a challenging emotional day, and this event is just to provide the space for those who want to process feelings and travel this milestone with others in community.
