Event Details
Join us for a cozy evening celebrating the voices of writers and poets in Buncombe County! Moderated by Jana Mader, co-author of Walk Her Way New York City—a 2025 guide to women’s history through the streets of New York—this special gathering brings together local women writers.
In an intimate setting, four talented authors and poets Jana Mader, M.K. Barreau, Virginia Knight, and Jacqui Castle, will read from their work and share stories and poems to celebrate writing, community, and the year past. Walk Her Way will also be part of the conversation, connecting these voices to the stories of remarkable women featured in the book.
This event is a celebration of writing, the joy of local bookstores and libraries, and the power of literature to connect us. Come for the readings, stay for the conversation, and enjoy a festive end-of-year literary gathering!
Sponsored by the Buncombe County Library System and hosted at Bagatelle Books in West Asheville at 428 Haywood Road. Flora, next to Bagatelle, will be open for beverages to purchase before and during the program. Light snacks will be available. Thanks to the support of our Friends of the Pack Library and Gold Leaf Literary Services.
