What is junk journaling?

A whimsical and imaginative way to preserve the treasures of your life, weaving them into a scrapbook tapestry!

What do I bring?

We’ll provide the composition books and glue, while you conjure your collection of curiosities! Gather receipts, photos, stickers, stamps, movie tickets, restaurant napkins, postcards, maps, ribbons, scrapbook paper, or any cherished mementos to unleash your creativity.

Join Tiffany Messer-Bass, librarian and former professor of English & Creative Writing at Durham Technical Community College, Lenoir-Rhyne University, and Clemson University, as she teaches a creative way to preserve your memories and give new life to all those little scraps of paper you can't bear to toss.  We will be hosting 3 events throughout the month of July, so feel free to drop into just one, or come each time and build on your journal!  Tiffany will bring examples of her own work, but you should let your imagination run wild!
