Our VOICE & Helpmate social workers will be at the Enka Candler Library once a month for information and assistance regarding sexual violence, intimate partner domestic violence, and human trafficking. 

All are welcome and encouraged to attend. Speak with a social worker privately and for free. Social workers are fluent in both Spanish and English.

Walk-ins welcome.

About Our VOICE and Helpmate:

Our VOICE inspires hope and healing while ending sexual violence and human trafficking through education, counseling, and advocacy. They serve survivors of sexual violence, age 13 through adult, in Buncombe County.

Helpmate is a not-for-profit based in Buncombe County that provides services at no cost to victim/survivors of intimate partner domestic violence. Services include 24/7 crisis hotline, emergency shelter, individual and group counseling, court advocacy, child and family advocacy, housing, HOP, community case management, community-based prevention education, and professional training. Neighbors seeking services can connect with an advocate by calling our 24/7 hotline at 828-254-0516 or by coming to the Family Justice Center at 35 Woodfin St for a walk-in appointment between 8am and 4pm Monday-Friday.
