A lively language enrichment story time designed for children ages 4 to 18 months. 

Join us as we share books, songs, rhymes, and activities designed for children ages 3 to 5 years.

If you can sew on a machine, hand sew, crochet or knit, stuff a pillow or iron come join our makers group! Sewers, knitters, and menders are welcome to join us.

Drop in for basic tech help with phones, laptops, tablets, Kindles, or apps. Partners from UNC Asheville and Land of Sky Regional Council and your friendly Fairview library staff will provide one-on-one support. 

Join us for a book discussion sponsored by the Friends of the Skyland/South Buncombe Library! 

Mindfulness is paying attention in the present moment, on purpose, without judgment, as if our life depends on it.

A lively language enrichment story time designed for children ages 4 to 18 months. Older siblings are always welcome. Stay afterward to socialize with other parents and let your baby play with our baby sensory toys.

Join us for this educational and fun guided drum session. This class is super fun, and no drumming experience is needed. In this hour-long session, we will establish the foundations of rhythm and play a couple of our favorite songs together.

Build LEGO creations and make friends! LEGOs are provided - please do not bring your own. Children under age of 11 must be accompanied by a caregiver.

Kids, tweens, teens, and their families are invited to come to the Skyland/South Buncombe Library to make collages and works of art using damaged library books, magazines, and various craft supplies! The library will provide all supplies.

Have fun building a unique creation with LEGOs at the East Asheville Public Library!  Flex your building skills and make some friends while you're at it. Please leave your personal Legos at home because we've got plenty.

Connection to Land - Connection to Place

The Fairview Library Book Club is a book discussion group that meets in person on the second Friday of each month at 11AM at the library and online on the third Thursday of each month at 6PM. We read a variety of genres.

Since its publication The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron has been used by all types of artists to reconnect with their creativity and become inspired and productive.

Join us as we share books, songs, rhymes, and activities designed for children ages 18 months-3 years old. 

Every first Friday, sing along to songs in English and Spanish with a special performance presented by Bilingual Birdies. Tickets are no longer needed. Kids ages 0-5 and their caregivers are welcome.

Baby Story Time will be transforming into Baby Play Time on Fridays at 10:30 a.m.

Music, bubbles, big foam blocks, tunnel mazes, puppets and sensory toys, oh my!

Perfect for 4-18 months.

Enjoy books, songs, and movement activities with Sadie from 10:30-11am. Appropriate for 18 months to 3 years old. Kids and caregivers can stay to play and socialize afterward until 11:30am!

Ms. Brandon is back with her yoga class for children ages 1 - 3 and their caregivers!  Want to get out of the house and release excess energy but it's not playground weather?
