Every Wednesday morning, we open up the children's programming room to give kids and families time for free play with our stash of puppets. Children must be under the supervision of a parent or guardian.

During your Tech Time appointment you can recieve one-on-one help from library staff. To the best of our ability we will help you solve a tech related problem or accomplish a specific task.

This one-hour class offered by the Buncombe County Cooperative Extension 4-H Program is designed for youth ages 8–18 and introduces them to bacteria, how it spreads, and effective prevention methods.

Paint a brick for the Elder & Sage community garden! Choose from storybook characters or literary themed designs or paint your own.

This program is free, but you do need to register.

Block printing is an ancient craft in which artists carve a design into their chosen medium and print it onto paper. In this way the practice allows artists to create as many copies, or imprints, of their original design as they would like.

Come learn to play the ukulele with the Asheville Ukulele Society. Lessons are free, but space is limited. To register, sign up at the library front desk or call 828-250-4738.

Groovin’ is a  free-admission outdoor concert series benefiting two Swannanoa nonprofit organizations: The Friends of the Swannanoa Library and the Swannanoa Community Council. 

Join us outside during Groovin' on Grovemont for a wonderful painting craft using marbles! 

We will use tempera paint for this craft, but please be aware that this activity is often messy and may get on clothes.
