Every Wednesday morning, we open up the children's programming room to give kids and families time for free play with our stash of puppets. Children must be under the supervision of a parent or guardian.

While our Youth Services Librarian is out on leave from October-December, we will offer a weekly Toddler Playtime in the Community Room from 10:30-11:30am on Fridays (no Storytime, sorry!). Children and caregivers can play and socialize.

Homeward Bound will be tabling in the Enka-Candler Library from 11:45 AM- 1 PM on the last Wednesday of the month along with the YMCA Healthy Living Mobile Unit.

Trying out your new reading skills in front of other people can be intimidating! But dogs always listen and never judge, even when we make mistakes.

This is a group for crafty teens ages 12-18.  Participants may bring their own projects to work on or help us to knit and crochet items to donate locally.  Instruction can be provided and we have plenty of supplies to share.

Shibori– traditional Japanese style tie-dye– is simple and pleasing to the eye. An expert from Waxon Studio will show you how to create a beautiful t-shirt that you can take home with you.

The Western North Carolina Scale Model Club is a non-profit group for static (non-RC) model builders to present their models and share tips and tricks in a laid back atmosphere. Bring your latest finished piece or your work in progress.
