Every Wednesday morning, we open up the children's programming room to give kids and families time for free play with our stash of puppets. Children must be under the supervision of a parent or guardian.

Play, Build, Create! Join us for Play-Doh Club at Enka-Candler Library on the third Wednesday of each month, right after Hora del Cuento=Bilingual Story Time. All Play-Doh and tools are provided. Perfect for ages 3 and up.

Drop in and play with other babies. Crawl through tunnels, play in ball pits, and enjoy other sensory toys. Caregivers must stay in the room. Ages 4-18 months.

Mindfulness Meditation is back at Fairview Library!

Mindfulness is paying attention in the present moment, on purpose, without judgment, as if our life depends on it.

The Leicester Library is excited to offer a 10 week Tai Chi for Beginners Series taught by Patricia P. Gilliam, PhD, ANP-BC,  a Board-Certified Tai Chi For Health Instructor and Nurse Practitioner.

In 1931, lawyer, collector, and historian F.A. Sondley died leaving his massive collection of books, papers, and “brick-a-brac” in the public trust.

But who was Sondley—and why should we still care?

What does community mean to you? What do you wish for - or imagine - community could be? Do you ever wonder how you - as just one individual - could be a part of supporting and/or fostering community?

This event requires registration.  The library's moderated online book discussion group meets on the third Tuesday of each month, September through May.
