This is a low-key community crafting circle, where we listen to an audio short story while we work.

May is Asian & Pacific American Heritage Month! We'll be listening to a few folktales from Asia - these recordings are part of a Librivox book of tales collected in 1927.

A Pashtun story from South Asia: "How the Greedy Princess Was Tricked" collected by Lucas White King.

A Buddhist story from India: "The Grateful Animals" retold by Marguerite Aspinwall.

A Lepcha fairy tale from South Asia: "A Fairy Disguised as a Puppy" collected by Cheridah de Beavoir Stocks.

A folktale from East Asia: "Moko and the Twelve Little Earth Men" retold by Charles H. Meeker.

A folktale from Japan: "The Weaver of the Frost" retold by Ken Nakazawa.
