Quilters of all ages welcome! Bring your own sewing machine and project or work on a community project. Snacks not provided, but we encourage you to bring a bag lunch. Drop in any time to participate.

November is Diabetes Awareness Month, and Fairview Library is partnering with Dr.

Join Ms. Brandon at the Swannanoa Library for a fun Yoga class for children ages 1-3 & their caregivers. A fun combination of movement, songs, and stories along with yoga poses and learning breath techniques--good for everyone!

Build LEGO creations and make friends! LEGOs are provided - please do not bring your own. Children under age of 11 must be accompanied by a caregiver.

Join us for free-form LEGO building every other Wednesday afternoon, at 3:30pm!  All ages 5 and up are welcome, but anyone under 10 years old will need to be accompanied by a caregiver.

Resin is a plastic-like material that can be poured into a mold then cured. This allows the artist (you!) to encase various materials inside of the resin, creating custom pendants.

Learn to make a woven potholder using a loom and cotton loops. All supplies are provided and attendance is free. Open to all ages (best for 8 and up). Space is limited; first-come first-served. 

Join us for the Swannanoa Public Library’s monthly Star Trek Fan Club meeting!

Join us for this educational and fun guided hand drum session. No drumming experience is needed. This one hour workshop will establish and reinforce the the foundations of rhythm and experiment with various concepts from there.  

Kids create journals from recycled cardboard and scrap paper, decorating covers with collage materials and bind with a folding method, no sewing required.

Building an articulated grabber is an exciting way to teach about mechanics by demonstrating a device with levers, joints/connection points, force and movement, as well as measurement.

The Fairview Library Book Club is a book discussion group that meets in person on the second Friday of each month at 11AM at the library and online via Zoom on the third Wednesday of each month at 7PM. We read a variety of genres.
