Week Calendar

Quilters of all ages welcome! Bring your own sewing machine and project or work on a community project. Snacks not provided, but we encourage you to bring a bag lunch. Drop in any time to participate.

If you can sew on a machine, hand sew, crochet or knit, stuff a pillow or iron come join our makers group! Sewers, knitters, and menders are welcome to join us.

Our friendly and welcoming Spanish conversation practice group is geared towards people with intermediate level Spanish skills who are looking for a supportive chance to practice and sharpen their skills.

December's YMCA Mobile Market will be on the THIRD Wednesday of the month and from 11 am -12 pm.

The Enka History Book Club reads historical fiction and non-fiction on the 3rd Wednesday of every month.

The selection for December will be "The Nazi Conspiracy" by Brad Meltzer and Josh Mensch.

This month the book club will be discussing I'll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson.

Books are available in large print, regular print, and audio at the circulation desk.

Yoga Nidra is Non-Sleep Deep Relaxation

Enjoy the beautiful acoustic sounds of flute and harp as PAN HARMONIA musicians Kate Steinbeck and Jessica Schaeffer share festive music for Yuletide.

Join us for this educational and fun guided hand drum session. No drumming experience is needed. This one hour workshop will establish and reinforce the the foundations of rhythm and experiment with various concepts from there.  

Sonia Brooks, the Moosic Lady, sings Christmas songs so you can sing along. Tap 'n shake with shakers and tapping sticks to help her make the music.

Come learn to play the ukulele with the Asheville Ukulele Society. Lessons are free, but space is limited. To register, sign up at the library front desk or call 828-250-4738.
