Quilters of all ages welcome! Bring your own sewing machine and project or work on a community project. Snacks not provided, but we encourage you to bring a bag lunch. Drop in any time to participate.

All are welcome! Just bring your garden gloves, water bottle, and dress for the weather.

World Bat Appreciation Day: Exploring North Carolina’s Bats

Ever wonder if spinning is for you (or your child)? This is an exciting opportunity for complete beginners to stop by Emolyn's artist residency in Flowstate at East Asheville Library to try all the tools we use to make yarn.

Drop in anytime from 2:30 to 4:30 this afternoon to experience the traditional art of making yarn, from fiber to skein, with April Flowstate artist-in-residence Emolyn Liden and Mila's Bunny Farm!

Join us for this educational and fun guided drum session. This class is super fun, and no drumming experience is needed. In this hour-long session, we will establish the foundations of rhythm and play a couple of our favorite songs together.

Build LEGO creations and make friends! LEGOs are provided - please do not bring your own. Children under age of 11 must be accompanied by a caregiver.

Celebrate National Poetry Month with readings by local poets from the Leicester/Weaverville community. Victoria Bender, Kim Hayes, and Elmer Perry will all share recent works with us.

Reading to a dog can help young readers build skills, confidence, and enjoyment in reading! We recommend that participants register in advance for a 15-minute session, and parent/legal guardian must sign a waiver.

Kids, tweens, teens, and their families are invited to come to the Skyland/South Buncombe Library to make collages and works of art using damaged library books, magazines, and various craft supplies! The library will provide all supplies.

Have fun building a unique creation with LEGOs at the East Asheville Public Library!  Flex your building skills and make some friends while you're at it. Please leave your personal Legos at home because we've got plenty.

During this workshop you will create three custom tinctures with an alcohol-free extraction method. All supplies and information on the various herbs will be provided, but it is up to you to decide what is best for your health and body.

Andrew Dietz will be at Pack Library to discuss his new YA/Adult crossover novel Ever U. This will be a discussion-oriented program for readers, educators, and students about creative identity and artistic formation.
