Get loud with librarians! West Asheville Library is hosting a community gathering for people who want to LET IT OUT.

Join us for a fun and interactive story time designed for children ages 18 months to 3 years. 

Story time room capacity is 40 people. Please arrive early to secure a spot. 

Need help with your job search? NCWorks staff will be on hand to provide free assistance on a first-come, first-served basis. Here are some of the services they provide:

Baby Story Time will be transforming into Baby Gym on Fridays at 10:30 a.m.

Join us for a fun and interactive story time designed for children ages 18 months to 3 years!

On the one-year anniversary of Tropical Storm Helene, join us for a daylong series of events and activities centered around remembering the events of the past and building resilience and community for the future. 

Books, rhymes, songs and activities designed for the whole family. Stay afterward to socialize and play with the large building blocks and other toys. Baby sensory toys are also available.

Our friendly and welcoming Spanish conversation practice group is geared towards people with intermediate level Spanish skills who are looking for a supportive chance to practice and sharpen their skills.

Instead of our regularly scheduled Story Time program, our Saturday Story Time will be a partnered program with Rural Housing Authority's Child First initiative.

Join us for a fun and interactive story time featuring guest reader, Art Mandler. Art is a tech entrepreneur and has been telling stories in schools, libraries, and around campfires for 45 years.

Join Ms. Brandon at the North Asheville Library for a fun yoga class for children ages 1 to 3 and their caregivers. A fun combination of movement, songs, and games along with yoga poses and learning breathing techniques. Good for everyone!

Drop in and play. Ball pit, toys, soft slide and structure to climb on and through. For ages 4 to 18 months.

Drop in and play with other babies. Crawl through tunnels, play in ball pits, and enjoy other sensory toys. Caregivers must stay in the room. Ages 4-18 months.

One of our favorite annual traditions! Join other film lovers who will unite in over 500 venues worldwide to view and judge the work of the next generation of filmmakers from around the world at the MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival.

The YMCA Mobile Market will be set up in the library parking lot from 2-3 pm. Bring your grocery bags and get fresh food for your family.  All are welcome, regardless of income or family size.

This month the book club will be discussing A Flicker in the Dark by Stacy Willingham.

Books are available in large print, regular print, and audio at the circulation desk.

The Goodwill Career Center will be stopping by the library on the fourth Thursday of the month to help you find your next dream job!

Looking to step out of your shell and put your theater skills to the test? Join theater teacher Chris Martin for some fun improv games and activities. For ages 8-12.

Join us for a series of fun, themed yoga classes with children's yoga instructor, Brandon Hudson! Yoga will be followed by a story and craft on the day's theme. Mats will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own!

Tech Connect allows you to sit with a librarian who will work with you to solve a technology problem. From email to e-readers, smartphones to laptops, we are here for you!

Wednesday, October 29 will be the last regularly scheduled preschool storytime. Preschool storytime will no longer be offered at Pack Library beginning in November.

Reading to a dog can help young readers build skills, confidence, and enjoyment in reading! We recommend that participants register in advance for a 15-minute session, and parent/legal guardian must sign a waiver.

Join us as we discuss this month's selection: The Last Ballad by Wiley Cash. Copies of this title are available at the Weaverville Library for check out as supplies last.

Enjoy this one hour program with Wayne Erbsen, featuring music and stories about pioneers of old-time and bluegrass music. Wayne will also be featuring and selling copies of his book, Southern Mountain Music.

The Black Experience Book Club reads books by Black authors about the many facets of the Black experience. Join other book lovers to discuss this month's pick, What You Leave Behind, by Wanda M. Morris.

The Library Advisory Board generally meets on the second Thursday of every other month at 6:30pm at a library or online.
